NGC1531 Galaxy
NGC 1531 is a dwarf galaxy in the constellation Eridanus that is interacting with the larger spiral galaxy NGC 1532. It was discovered by John Herschel on 19 October 1835. Although technically classified as a peculiar lenticular galaxy, the galaxy's structure is better described as amorphous. It is a very small object and only telescopes with long focal length can image it with certain level of details.

Distance to the object- 42 millions light years; angular size in the sky is about 1.3’X0.9’ (minutes); diameter of the object – about 59,200 light years.
